Francesca Fabbri was born in Bologna in 1963 and now lives and works in Ravenna. She graduated from the Institute of Art for Mosaic and subsequently graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna.
In 1988, she founded Akomena, a studio and laboratory that operates in the context of contemporary mosaic in furniture and architecture. At the same time, she is in constant research of the aesthetics and the artistic expressive form of mosaic.
