Nicola Strippoli was born near Bari and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Florence with a thesis in street theater. Immediately afterwards he embarked on a journey to India where he met his teacher who entrusted him with the name of Tarshito, meaning thirst for inner knowledge; hence his use of meditation as a method of investigation and design.
Tarshito's works are expressed in the act of welcoming and filling up, a conceptual and emotional transfer that occurs with the use of the artisan’s form and material.
