Ron Gilad was born in Tel Aviv in 1972 and in 2001 he moved to New York where he has managed his studio for 12 years. The hybrid objects created by Ron Gilad combine concrete ingenuity with the aesthetic game, which are positioned on the subtle and creative borderline between the abstract and the function.
Gilad's works deal with the relationship between the object and its function, questioning our perceptions. Ranging from limited editions and production pieces, his works have no "expiration date" and reside in public and private collections around the world. In 2013 he was nominated "Designer of the Year" by Wallpaper* and Elle Décor.
