"The first years were 'pure', still not affected by the perception of what the FuoriSalone would later become. And for several editions, while growing exponentially, the event has always maintained its own authorial value which, perhaps, has a bit lost in recent years, or it's its very meaning that has changed a bit. The story of Dilmos begins in 1980, when me and my partner in adventure at the time, Lucio Zotti, decided to give life to that which would become, both in Italy and abroad, one of the reference galleries of international design. Our first approach was of an aesthetic type and was based on the evaluation "we like / dislike". However, gradually that proceeded, the aesthetic judgment alone was no longer enough, it was necessary to tune in to people and their thoughts. This led Dilmos to interact more and more directly with the authors, first choosing those to collaborate with and then their works. The event of the FuoriSalone was a fundamental 'companion', an essential partner. Over the years I think I have brought my personal contribution to the development of this worldwide phenomenon by organizing more events than exhibitions and making Dilmos a point of reference both for operators in the sector and for fans of contemporary design. Over the decades we have involved some of the most significant designers on the international scene, including Andrea Branzi, Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass, Ron Arad, Bertozzi and Dal Monte Casoni, Studio Job, Ron Gilad, Richard Woods, Nendo, Andrea Salvetti, Ugo Marano, Francesca Fabbri of Akomena, Danny Lane and many others."
